Taylor Peterson

Junior Planner + Architectural Designer

Taylor is a Junior Planner and Architectural Designer at The Urban Collaborative, where he has been contributing since 2022. He combines his passion for high-performance, sustainable design with a focus on community-centered planning, striving to create spaces that provide long-term value and environmental responsibility. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in Entrepreneurship from the University of Oregon.

Proficient in software like Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite programs (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop), Taylor integrates these technical skills with his expertise in hand-drawn creative work using graphite and ink, taking projects from schematic design through to artistic renderings. His practical experience in construction—including whole-house remodeling, framing, and finish carpentry—further enhances his understanding of the design-build process.

Outside of his professional role, Taylor enjoys creating functional projects and art through ceramics, carpentry, and writing. He also takes advantage of the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty by camping, hiking, and sailing, finding inspiration in the landscapes he explores.
