Natalie Hutchison

Junior Planner, Architectural Designer

Ms. Hutchison is a Junior Planner and Architectural Designer at The Urban Collaborative, where she has practiced since 2021. Natalie graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Architecture and minors in Art History and Environmental Science. Through her education and experience, she has worked on a wide range of projects. Although her interests remain rooted in architecture, she enjoys working on all project types and scales, finding joy in studying how buildings affect the larger urban fabric. Natalie’s primary interest is in integrated sustainability and ensuring that the projects she works on have a positive impact on the environment to promote sustainable, future-oriented planning. She achieves this by using tools such as hand drawing, 3D computer modeling, energy analysis, and rendering to see projects from concept to execution.

Outside of work, Natalie enjoys all forms of art, particularly drawing and painting. Her background is strongly based within the fine arts, and she finds inspiration in bringing her art into her work as an aspiring architect. Natalie also loves spending time with friends and family, doing things such as hiking, baking, and playing cards together.
