The Urban Collaborative uses a unique participatory process to create environmentally, fiscally, and socially resilient master plans for locations worldwide. We listen to and learn from our clients and supporting stakeholders in order to develop a deep understanding of their vision, mission, and goals. We encourage participation throughout the life of a project, including plan development. While we complete private sector work for clients committed to advancing sustainability, most of our work is for U.S. federal agencies, including the Department of Defense, the Department of Homeland Security, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The UC has extensive experience with real property master planning around the world. This depth and breadth of experience allow us to take best practices and lessons learned and implement them in installations, cities, and neighborhoods. As the primary author for Unified Facilities Criteria 2-100-01, Installation Master Planning, we are the foremost experts on military base planning and have extensive experience planning on Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps installations.
