Eric Knobelspiesse, GISP
Associate Planner
Mr. Knobelspiesse has been working for The Urban Collaborative since 2008. He currently serves as a technical lead for area development plans, area development execution plans, form-based codes, installation development plans, master plans, and space utilization plans for Department of Defense projects. His background of engineering, architecture, and geographic information systems, combined with a compulsive desire to connect data with design, provides a unique skillset for completing large, highly technical projects in an efficient, effective manner. Eric has been working in public and private sector sustainable design and development, construction management, or policy development since 1999. He has been an instrumental team member on dozens of award-winning planning and design projects. Mr. Knobelspiesse holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech (2002), a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Oregon (2008), and completed the Geographic Information Systems certificate program at Lane Community College (2015). Eric is a certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP). He lives in Eugene, Oregon, with his partner, their three children, and a plethora of dad jokes
