Austin Gillem

Junior Planner + Environmental Technician

Austin has been part of the UC team since 2021, initially contributing as a project intern conducting field surveys for asset evaluations at various DoD locations worldwide and creating scale models of buildings and sites to support workshops. In 2024, he transitioned to a full-time role, expanding his contributions to the team. With a background in geology from Oregon State University, he is actively pursuing professional licensure in the field. Before joining UC full-time, he worked as a climbing arborist in central Oregon. Outside of work, Austin enjoys outdoor adventures like skiing, rock climbing, canoeing, and training for triathlons. He also has a passion for hand-tool woodworking, traditional campcraft skills, and diving into a good book.
