Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory Real Property Master Plan

The Urban Collaborative facilitated, planned and documented the foundation for planning and programming for the next 50 years of growth of Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL). The master plan and form-based code were collaboratively developed by stakeholders throughout CREEL – including researchers, administrative personnel, interns, and engineers.  Personnel worked together to create a vision, goals, and objectives to guide the planning process; to develop and evaluate alternatives; and to assemble a plan that will guide growth at CRREL for future generations. The master plan identifies capacity for over 300,000 square feet of development capacity that will help CRREL continue as a state-of-the-art scientific research facility.
